Our story

“We will not stop until every child has the opportunity for a permanent loving family.”

We are a charity who believes the current adoption system in the UK is not fit for purpose. It gets choked up with unnecessary bureaucracy and puts ridiculous blockages in the way of potential adoptive parents, making the process heart-breakingly slow. It fails to offer most children in care a way out and lets down those who have been adopted. It prioritises council budgets over children’s welfare. Finances over futures.

This is not about making adoption easier or faster for everyone. It is about removing obstacles so that those who want to adopt and those who have been identified as adoptable can be brought together faster.

We realise that the current system can’t be fixed overnight. But we also know that campaigning for a more efficient, insightful and compassionate service is the only way to get things moving in the right direction.

We are well informed and well organised with some of the brightest brains in the UK on our board and in our volunteer programme.

A long way in a short time. But still a way to go.

We’ve only been around for a few years, but in that time we’ve been instrumental in bringing about positive change. But this is just the start of our journey. We have a long way to go before our ambition is realised and we will not stop until it has.
